Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Third Free Story Update
This patch also introduces the game's third free story content, titled "The Mystery."
